New Media Task Force will be co-hosting a Mobile Data Collection Workshop with the Monitoring and Evaluation Student Society and Modi Labs this Wednesday at SIPA.
We’ll be going over how to use Formhub, an online site you can use to make and store surveys and Open Data Kit, an app you can use on your phone to collect and store data (anything from multiple choice answers, to GPS locations, and pictures).
With these tools you can:
Eliminate paper,
Eliminate data entry and
reduce errors.
With formhub, surveys can be created in local languages and data stored in English. Additionally, responses can be visualized in map form with photos.
During the session, we’ll go over how these tools are changing the face of M&E and build surveys in small groups.
ODK and Formhub are a launching pad for learning how to use many mobile data collection applications. They’re great for anyone who does research or project development in any field. We hope to see you there!
Where: 6th floor Cafe IAB
